The nominations for the 2025 CESS Book Award are now open! The deadline for the nomination is May 2, 2025, 23:59 EST. 

CESS gives two Book Awards annually, one in the Social Sciences category and one in History & Humanities, each with a $500 USD award. Nominations can be made by the publisher, author, or a CESS member. Eligible nominations include scholarly monographs based on original research, published in English in the the year preceding the award application (2024). In order to submit an application, please email info@centraleurasia.org with a link to the book, an electronic version or information on how to send bound copies.
